Your boots on the ground.
The Pennsylvania Licensed Beverage and Tavern Association is the only non-profit, statewide organization that fights exclusively to protect small business taverns, bars, and licensed restaurants. Every year, bills are introduced in Harrisburg that need our attention.
If you own an R, H, or E liquor license, you should belong to the PLBTA and be a part of organized taverns to support your industry, your business and your future.
Your membership in the PLBTA helps to pay for our lobbying and communications teams that work closely with numerous legislative committee leaders and staffers as well as leadership in both the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate. Our teams are in regular contact with regulatory agencies as well.
Not a penny is wasted in protecting your business interests.
If you are a member of the PLBTA, you will receive regular private news updates to let you know how and what we are doing to protect your interests.

Being a part of organized taverns is the first step to support your industry, your business, and your future.
But, our lobbying and public affairs efforts only go so far. That’s why you must take that second step and make an annual contribution to TavernPAC.
TavernPAC provides financial assistance to tavern friendly legislators. We support friendly legislators sitting on the Pennsylvania House Liquor Control Committee and Senate Law & Justice Committee. These friends are the men and women at the state capitol in Harrisburg that stand up for your rights and refuse to cast votes that will hurt you, they introduce bills that will help you grow your business, and they refuse to bow down to demands that take away from the value of your license.
We must maintain a powerful PAC fund in order to ensure our message is heard.
We urge all licensees to mail your contribution today so that we can stay in the race to help all of us!
To make a contribution, follow these steps:
- Contributions must be made on a personal check (sorry state laws prevent TavernPAC from accepting company checks). Write personal checks out to TavernPAC.
- Mail to TavernPAC, c/o Pennsylvania Licensed Beverage and Tavern Association, 214 Pine Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101
- Include the following with your contribution, preferably via a letter indicating you’re making a voluntary contribution to TavernPAC:
- Employer name
- Home Address and Phone Number
- Indicate that you are a US Citizen and that you are making the contribution voluntarily
We are not allowed to accept corporate checks for this fund so please make sure your check is personal.
Remember, politics is the only game in which spectators lose!
