Kendra Schell started in the restaurant industry at a young age. Kendra’s friend’s family owned a local restaurant in downtown Mechanicsburg. Kendra’s friend’s parents offered her a job at the restaurant because she spent so much time there. Kendra started out busing tables and washing dishes and the rest is history. She moved onto other restau- rants and ended up with her mentor, Jim learning the ins and outs of the bartending business. Kendra is forever grateful for having Jim take her under his wing.
Kendra’s favorite things about her job at Snapper’s Bar & Grill are her regular customers. She has worked at Snappers for a little over ten years and she considers her customers as dear friends. Kend- ra’s advice to being a good bartender is to have good listening skills and to do it right the first time, no matter how busy you get. When Kendra isn’t behind the bar she likes to spend time with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Kai. They dress up in their Steelers and Penn State jerseys and watch the football games together.
