At the age of 15, Meghan Bonsall began working as a hostess at a popular restaurant in her hometown, Mount Joy. A few years later, after moving to Pennsylvania’s state capitol, she began waitressing at Zembie’s Sports Tavern, a local favorite on Harrisburg’s Restaurant Row. In no time at all, she was promoted to a bartending position and now helps to manage the bar as well.
When asked what her favorite thing is about bartending, Meghan cited the constant action and nightlife. Whether she’s “moving to keep up with the volume” of customers or interacting with patrons, she stays in motion. She believes that this kind of work ethic, along with being attentive to the needs of her customers makes her good at what she does. Meghan is RAMP and Food Safe certified, which is important training that helps her to recognize potential problems and to stay within the PA liquor code. You can find Meghan most nights of the week at Zembie’s slingin’ drinks and doing what she loves!
